Hello travel lovers!
We know that by now you have already travelled all around Portugal. But do you know those special hidden places that sometimes are worth more than the most touristic ones? Well, ESN Porto has something for you:
Trip to Fátima and Tomar
Saturday, 26th of May
What if we told you that Tomar has a place considered World Heritage by UNESCO? That’s right, you will have the chance to visit the Convent of Christ, a Convent that relates to the early years of our beautiful country.
In the afternoon, we’re going to Fátima, the most important sanctuary in Portugal. In 2017 the pope came to visit it, now it’s your turn! The history tells that in Fátima, in 1916, three children saw what they later assumed was the Virgin Mary. Nowadays, thousands of Roman Catholic pilgrims visit it every year.
Finally, you will visit the biggest caves in Portugal – “Grutas de Mira de Aire”. We bet you can’t wait to be 600 meters under the ground.
Run to the office! We are waiting for you to join us!
