Hey there lovely Erasmus,

Have you ever thought about sharing with our younger generation your Erasmus experience and what made you take this step?

Come with us and let’s motivate young Portuguese students to have this great experience in a couple years :) You can even educate them a little bit about your own country! Open your homeland to them! You can teach them your language, or simply let the kids have a taste of your culture.

And how would you like to see in first hand the interior of a Portuguese school? Then this event is definitely for you!

Erasmus in Schools @ Escola Secundária de Almeida Garrett

Wednesday, 10th October

Erasmus in Schools is a nationwide project aimed for all Erasmus students interested in visiting local/nearby schools during their stay in Portugal. Enjoy the opportunity to visit a Portuguese High School where you’ll get the chance to teach and tell Portuguese children about their home country and answer their questions.

How can you do this? - by showing pictures, objects and whatever you want from back home. - be creative! The idea is for the kids to learn about your origins and experience :)

Most kids at that age already speak pretty good English here in Portugal, but just in case there will always be ESNers helping you out and translating everything. The school where we are going to is Escola Secundária de Almeida Garrett in Gaia - map here

The presentations will take 30 minutes per class.

*Max. of 10 minutes per participant to introduce your country and what took you to give the first step to do ERASMUS.

The following schedules represents the time of the classes.

10th October at 10.20am

10th October at 11.20am

Meeting Point: 30min before your presentation at São Bento metro station - map here.

You can sign up in couples or by yourself, although we can imagine it will be a funnier activity to do together. You don't have to be from the same country though!

If you can’t wait to join, sign up here.

School visitors will also win an official certificate of participation!

If you have any question, don’t hesitate to contact us by sending an email to: projects@esnporto.org

Are you ready to inspire some kids? We hope so!

See you soon!

Your besties,

ESN Porto
