Trip to Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo

What’s the best thing to do in the morning at Ponte de Lima, you may ask? OUTDOOR SPORTS!! Ponte de Lima is a small but beautiful old village, which as awesome places to practice this kind of sports. Be prepared to do some climbing, rappel and many other group sports.
After all this fun, we are going to Viana do Castelo to discover the capital of Portuguese folk culture and of course, restore some energies. How? By having lunch of course. After lunch we are going to visit the Santa Luzia Hill, where you will be able to enjoy one of Europe’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Wait? Isn’t Portugal known by its connection with the ocean? Yes, it is! So, you must be part of this crew that will discover the Navio-Hospital Gil Eannes museum, where you will learn more about this ship and its history.
Before leaving to Porto, we will go for a tour to say goodbye to Viana do Castelo, and in the end, after so many time walking, we will reward you guys with some “Bolas de Berlim”, which is a traditional sweet that you will have the opportunity to taste!

Registrations: Starts on 5th November. The ESN Office is open from 14:30 to 18:00 and if you want, you can register two friends but you need their ESNcard number and you need to pay their fee. Refunds are available until 1 week before the trip.
Note: The University of Porto will support us on this trip with the funds of the European Union for the Erasmus programme. For that reason, Erasmus students studying in University of Porto will get a 15€ discount (discounts limited to the first 15 reservations). To get the discount, just show us a document that proves you are in Erasmus Studies programme in University of Porto. Other programs like "Erasmus Mundus" or “Erasmus Internship” are not covered by these funds.
